Pay:
$18.00 - $22.00 per hour Job description: We are a busy, well established, nationally recognized, patient-focused neurology and pain medicine practice committed to providing compassionate, cutting-edge care for individuals with neurologic and chronic pain conditions. Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Full-Time Medical Assistant/Procedure Room Assistant to join our clinical team. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to patient care. This role involves working closely with our physicians and other staff to support patient evaluation, treatment, and follow-up.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsibly appear to work daily. Be pleasant and work as a team player. Greet and room patients, obtain medical history and document vital signs. Assist providers with diagnostic procedures and in-office treatments. Prepare and maintain exam rooms, ensuring equipment and supplies are stocked. Accurately enter data into the electronic medical record (eClinicalWorks EMR). Educate patients on procedures, medications, and follow-up care instructions. Coordinate referrals, diagnostic tests, and prescription refills. Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality at all times. Assist in procedure room manipulating C-arm and preparing procedure trays. Utilize knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology to assist healthcare providers effectively. Conduct basic life support procedures as needed and respond to emergencies within the clinic. Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care across various specialties such as internal medicine and neurosurgery.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (required). Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (preferred). Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or equivalent credential preferred. Prior experience in fluoroscopy procedure room in pain medicine (preferred). Proficiency in EMR systems (experience with [eClinicalWorks] required. Strong interpersonal skills and a professional demeanor. EMT/paramedic background may be considered.
Schedule & Benefits:
Full-time, Monday-Friday 9-5 (no weekends or major holidays). Competitive pay based on experience. Shared cost Health insurance may be available upon successful completion of a 3 month training/trial period, paid time off and other benefits available.
