Job Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Assistant, where your energetic and compassionate approach will make a meaningful difference in patient care. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your skills in a fast-paced, supportive environment dedicated to health excellence. Considering this is a Pediatric office, we require all shown tattoos to be covered up and no facial piercings. We are seeking a happy, child-friendly assistant who loves taking care of children. Responsibilities Administer vaccines Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature to assist clinicians in diagnosing patient conditions. Input patient information into our Athena EMR Support patient service efforts by providing clear explanations of procedures, answering questions, and ensuring comfort throughout visits. Prepare examination rooms by cleaning and sterilizing before and after patients Qualifications Proven experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar clinical support role within hospital medicine or outpatient clinics. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology essential for effective patient care. Hands-on experience with EHR systems and familiarity with ICD coding for accurate documentation. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required Strong communication skills with a focus on patient service excellence; ability to work efficiently under pressure in fast-paced settings like urgent care or trauma centers. Ability to perform clinical tasks including vital signs collection, medication administration, specimen collection, and assisting with diagnostic procedures.
