Certified Medical Assistant Full Job Description Job Summary:

Otantik Medical Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare with 5 to 10 years or more of experience in a medical setting. The CMA will provide critical support to our healthcare team, ensuring a seamless patient experience while adhering to the highest standards of patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Perform clinical duties, including taking patient histories and vital signs
• Assist healthcare providers with examinations and procedures
• Draw blood and collect specimens for laboratory testing
• Administer injections as ordered by physicians
• Prepare patients for their appointments, providing education and assistance as needed
• Maintain an organized and clean clinical environment
• Schedule and confirm patient appointments
• Schedule and confirm Transportation orders
• Handle administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and insurance verification
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
• Uphold compliance with all healthcare regulations and standards

Requirements:

• Valid Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification from an accredited organization
• 5 to 10 years of experience in a medical setting preferred
• Proficient in phlebotomy techniques and capable of drawing blood
• Strong understanding of medical terminology and procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems
• Current CPR and First Aid certification
