About Us Brain Treatment Center is a specialized clinical practice focused on advanced neurological and behavioral health interventions. We primarily serve neurodivergent children, including those with autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, developmental delays, and related conditions. Our mission is to provide compassionate, patient-centered care using innovative, non-invasive therapies in a structured and supportive environment. Position Summary We are seeking a compassionate, patient, and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to support our clinical team. This role requires comfort and experience working with children with special needs and the ability to maintain a calm, structured, and supportive presence during clinical procedures. Key Responsibilities Key Responsibilities Clinical Support Support neurodivergent children in a calm, patient, and reassuring manner. preform evaluations and treatment sessions (On the Job training) Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation. Monitor treatment rooms and ensure equipment is prepared and organized. Follow established safety, infection control, and HIPAA guidelines. Help maintain a structured, sensory-aware clinical environment. Front Desk & Administrative Responsibilities Welcome patients and families and provide a positive first impression of the clinic. Check patients in and out of appointments. Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments. Answer incoming phone calls, emails, and text messages professionally and promptly. Coordinate patient intake paperwork and maintain electronic records. Verify patient information and ensure documentation is complete. Assist families with appointment reminders and follow-up communication. Collect payments and process financial transactions when applicable. Support patient account processes as directed. Coordinate patient flow between providers and treatment areas. Manage daily schedules and assist with optimizing provider calendars. Maintain organized front desk operations and administrative records. Support special projects and clinic operations as assigned. Customer Service & Family Support Respond to parent and caregiver inquiries with professionalism, empathy, and patience. Provide information regarding clinic services, scheduling, and general procedures. Build positive relationships with patients and families. Help create a welcoming and supportive experience for every family visiting the clinic. Qualifications Required High school diploma or equivalent. Strong customer service and communication skills. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Professional demeanor and positive attitude. Basic computer proficiency and comfort learning electronic medical record (EMR) systems. Preferred Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or certification. Previous front desk, medical receptionist, patient coordinator, or healthcare administrative experience. Experience working with neurodivergent children or individuals with special needs. Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred. Experience with scheduling software, EMR systems, or healthcare operations. On-the-job training provided.
