In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care. Your proactive approach will ensure smooth clinic workflows, accurate documentation, and compassionate patient interactions. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced environment while making a meaningful difference in patients' lives. Duties Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, including collecting medical histories and explaining procedures Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates Prepare exam rooms with necessary supplies and equipment for procedures Support physicians during examinations and minor procedures within outpatient or inpatient settings Manage electronic health record (EHR) systems by documenting patient information accurately and efficiently Perform basic life support (BLS) when needed and respond promptly to emergency situations in a Level I or Level II trauma center environment Conduct ICD coding for diagnoses and procedures to ensure proper billing and documentation compliance Assist with laboratory tasks such as specimen collection, processing, and handling Qualifications Must be fluent in English and Spanish Proven experience in medical office setting Knowledge of primary care, internal medicine, or family medicine practices is highly desirable Familiarity with EHR systems and medical terminology to ensure precise documentation Strong understanding of physiology, anatomy, ICD coding, medication administration, and vital signs assessment Ability to work efficiently Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required; additional certifications related to emergency medicine or trauma are a plus Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to diverse populations including geriatrics and pediatric patients Join us to be part of a passionate team committed to delivering outstanding healthcare services.
