Medical Assistant Miami, FL 33176 Full-time Full-time Overview We are a high end plastic surgery office seeking a dynamic Medical Assistant to join our team. This position has a high emphasis on concierge style patient care where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and experience. We offer an exciting opportunity to work in an outpatient setting with and ASC. As a Medical Assistant, you will support the physician and nurse practitioner by providing hands-on clinical assistance, managing patient interactions, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. Your energetic approach and commitment to patient service will help foster a positive healthcare experience for every individual you serve. Responsibilities Perform patient intake procedures, including collecting medical histories and documenting symptoms accurately. Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration to assist in clinical assessments. Prepare patients for examinations or procedures by explaining processes and ensuring comfort. Assist with clinical tasks such as administering medications, drawing blood. Complete the pre operative procedure required to clear the patient for surgery. Support physicians during procedures by maintaining sterile environments and handling necessary equipment. Utilize Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems efficiently to document patient information, and treatment details precisely. Provide exceptional patient service by addressing questions, coordinating appointments, and ensuring a welcoming environment across outpatient and inpatient settings. Maintain clinical supplies, sterilize equipment, and uphold infection control protocols in accordance with hospital standards. Serve as chaperone and scribe for consults and post op visits. Must be fluent in both English and Spanish. Experience Prior experience working in plastic surgery is highly desirable. Demonstrated knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology necessary for accurate patient assessment and documentation. Proven ability to operate EHR systems efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in medication administration documentation.
