Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant_ (with a minimum of 2 years in dermatology) _to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting our Physician by ensuring the smooth operation of our practice. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and procedures, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for clinical tasks, contributing to the overall patient care experience. Responsibilities Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures Perform intake assessments including vital signs and medical history documentation Administer medications as directed by physicians and monitor patient responses Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and manage patient data efficiently Support outpatient and inpatient care by coordinating with nursing staff and physicians Utilize knowledge of ICD coding for accurate billing and documentation Provide medical administrative support including scheduling appointments and managing patient inquiries Ensure compliance with safety protocols and basic life support (BLS) standards Contribute to a positive patient experience through effective communication and service Qualifications Previous experience in a clinical setting such as dermatology or hospital medicine is preferred Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and ICD coding Familiarity with ModMed EMA systems to manage patient records efficiently Basic life support certification required; additional certifications in emergency medicine or surgical assistance are a plus Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on patient service and care quality Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while maintaining professionalism Join us in making a difference in the lives of our patients while advancing your career in the medical field.
