The ideal candidate will support both clinical and administrative operations while helping deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. This individual will work closely with providers, staff, and patients to ensure efficient workflow, excellent patient experiences, and compliance with healthcare regulations and standards. The ideal candidate is professional, detail-oriented, dependable, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced medical environment. We are looking for someone who is passionate about patient care, committed to teamwork, and eager to contribute to the success of our organization. Responsibilities Prepare examination rooms and maintain a clean, organized clinical environment. Take and document vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration, and oxygen saturation. Assist providers with patient intake, medical histories, and documentation. Administer medications and injections as directed by providers. Assist with minor office procedures and patient care activities. Manage Electronic Health Records (EMR/EHR) accurately and efficiently. Schedule appointments, verify insurance eligibility, and perform follow-up communications. Educate and assist patients throughout their visit. Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality. Support clinical and administrative operations as needed. Follow infection control and patient safety protocols. Qualifications & Experience Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant. Experience in primary care, internal medicine, geriatrics, outpatient clinics, adult day care centers, hospitals, or related healthcare settings preferred. Strong clinical and patient assessment skills. Experience using EMR/EHR systems. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and healthcare documentation. Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, ICD-10, and medical office procedures. Excellent communication and patient service skills. Bilingual (English and Spanish) required. Trilingual (English, Spanish, and Haitian Creole) strongly preferred. Additional language proficiency is a plus. Required Credentials & Documentation Applicants must possess and provide the following current documents: Medical Assistant Diploma or Certificate. Current BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification. Updated Curriculum Vitae (CV) or Resume. Valid Government-Issued Photo ID. Social Security Card and/or employment authorization documents. All licenses, certifications, and employment documents must be current and in good standing. Preferred Certifications (Not Required) Phlebotomy Certification. EKG Certification. X-Ray Certification. Additional healthcare-related certifications. Experience working with Medicare and Medicaid patient populations. Employment Requirements Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and provide all required employment documentation. Applicants who do not possess the required credentials, certifications, and documentation necessary for employment will not be considered.
