Duties Greet patients warmly and facilitate efficient patient intake processes, including collecting medical histories and verifying insurance information Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates with precision Assist providers during examinations and procedures, including basic medication administration and minor treatments Prepare examination rooms with necessary supplies and ensure proper sterilization protocols are followed Operate Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems to document patient encounters accurately and efficiently Manage appointment scheduling, follow-up coordination, and patient reminders to optimize clinic flow Perform basic physiology and anatomy assessments to support clinical decision-making Ensure compliance with medical terminology standards and ICD coding for accurate billing and record keeping Support emergency medicine teams by providing timely assistance during urgent situations or Level I trauma responses Skills Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and ICD coding practices Experience working in dermatology clinics, hospital medicine units, urgent care centers, or outpatient settings with Geriatrics or Medical-surgical patients Familiarity with EHR systems for efficient documentation and data management Ability to perform intake assessments, vital signs collection, and basic medication administration confidently Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to diverse populations including geriatrics and emergency medicine patients Basic life support (BLS) certification to ensure readiness for emergency situations Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments such as outpatient clinics Join us in delivering outstanding healthcare support that empowers providers and enhances patient well-being.
