Pediatric Office Medical Assistant

Medical Office Assistant Duties:

• Greet and check-in patients, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information
• Schedule appointments and manage the office calendar
• Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries in a professional and courteous manner
• Assist with patient registration and intake process
• Maintain patient records and update electronic medical records system
• Prepare examination rooms for patient visits
• Assist healthcare providers with procedures and examinations
• Perform basic medical tasks, such as taking vital signs and collecting specimens
• Coordinate referrals to specialists and follow-up appointments
• Process insurance claims and verify patient insurance coverage

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
• Proficient in using electronic medical records systems
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
• Compassionate and empathetic towards patients' needs
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information

This position does not involve X-Ray duties.
