Job Description

Southeast Neurology and Pain Management is seeking an experienced Certified Medical Assistant to join our growing practice in Panama City, FL. This full time position plays a vital role in providing quality patient care and excellent customer service. Our ideal candidate will be an organized, energetic team player with a "can-do" attitude and an ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. We offer a great 4-day work week (Monday-Thursday 7am-5pm) as well as a competitive salary and generous benefits package! Duties Prepare charts in the EMR (Athena) for upcoming appointments, ensuring all medical records, imaging and lab results are included and updated. Conduct initial medical screening, taking patient vitals and reviewing medical histories and current symptoms. Administer medications and injections as directed by the provider. Maintain well-stocked and clean exam rooms and equipment throughout the day. Schedule follow-up and procedure appointments; Prepare outgoing referrals and prior authorizations for patient care outside of our facility. Perform administrative duties in support of patient care, including but not limited to, answering calls from patients, pharmacies and provider's offices, returning voicemails, faxing and scanning documentation, etc. Requirements High School Graduate Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program 1-3 years experience in a hospital or outpatient setting Knowledge of vital sign measurement techniques and clinical procedures Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff High degree of professionalism and tact Commitment to patient confidentiality and adherence to HIPAA regulations
