Medical Assistant

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various medical settings, including dermatology, urgent care, and hospital medicine. This role involves providing essential support to healthcare professionals and delivering high-quality patient care. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for both administrative and clinical tasks, ensuring a smooth workflow within the practice. Responsibilities Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures Perform intake procedures including obtaining patient history and vital signs Administer medications as directed by physicians and ensure proper documentation Prepare patients for X-rays and other diagnostic tests Maintain accurate Electronic Health Records (EHR) and manage patient information Conduct basic life support when necessary and respond to emergencies effectively Manage appointment scheduling and patient service inquiries Utilize medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology knowledge to assist in patient care Support outpatient and inpatient services, including experience in Level I and Level II trauma centers Collaborate with healthcare teams in various specialties such as internal medicine, geriatrics, PICU, OR, and emergency medicine Qualifications Previous experience in a medical setting such as clinics, hospitals, or urgent care facilities is preferred Proficiency in EHR systems and medical administrative support tasks Knowledge of ICD coding and ability to perform intake assessments accurately Strong understanding of medical terminology related to various specialties including medical-surgical and dermatology Basic life support certification is required; additional certifications in relevant areas are a plus Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient service and care quality Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Join us in providing exceptional healthcare services while advancing your career as a Medical Assistant.
