Requirements:
Bilingual (Fluent English and Spanish) Excellent interpersonal skills (Verbal and Written Communication) MA Certification / Experience Perform Lab Work ( Venipuncture ) Computer Competency ( Microsoft Office, Windows ) Experience working with Medical Software ( eClincialWorks is a Plus ) Understand HealthCare Metrics and Measurements ( HEDIS, OSHA ) ( Experience with Humana is a Plus )Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist physicians in all areas of patient care.
- Promote compassion and instill trust in patients while giving quality health care.
- Expected to be professional, polite and have a personable interaction with patients.
- Greet and escort patient to exam room and prepare for physician exam. Take vital signs on all patients and records on EMR system/chart.
- Maintain patients' EMR by recording any physician orders, etc.
- Assist Physician with examinations as needed.
- Prepare patient and assembles equipment and supplies in preparation for certain treatment procedures by Physicians.
- Triage telephone messages, documents per protocol, and work together with Physician to assist patient.
- Cleans, stores, and prepares treatment trays, equipment, and exam room used in the clinical area.
- Maintain a clean, neat work areas at all times and follows universal precautions and guidelines to ensure OSHA compliance.
- Perform EKG per protocol, collects specimens and labels properly to send to Lab.
- Serve as a teacher of good health habits for patients and families as needed.
- Work with office manager to have appropriate level of needed supplies.
- Willing to perform other duties and responsibilities, as cross training if needed.
