This role offers an exciting opportunity to work across various clinical settings, including outpatient clinics, hospital medicine, urgent care, and specialized units such as Geriatrics, PICU, and Level I or Level II trauma centers. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and patient care, with experience in diverse medical environments. The Medical Assistant will play a vital role in supporting healthcare providers by delivering exceptional patient service and ensuring smooth clinical operations. Duties Assist with patient intake processes, including collecting medical histories and documenting symptoms Measure and record vital signs accurately and efficiently Prepare patients for examinations and procedures in outpatient and inpatient settings Support physicians with medication administration, injections, and basic procedures Operate EHR systems to document patient information, ICD coding, and treatment plans Perform basic diagnostic tasks such as X-ray imaging (where applicable) and assisting with laboratory tests Support hospital medicine teams, including Geriatrics, PICU, or Emergency Medicine units as needed Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities and ensure compliance with hospital policies Provide excellent patient service by addressing questions and ensuring comfort throughout visits Assist with medical administrative support tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient records Experience Prior experience in hospital medicine, outpatient clinics, urgent care, or emergency medicine is highly desirable Experience working within Level I or Level II trauma centers is a plus Familiarity with medical-surgical procedures, internal medicine, or geriatrics enhances candidate suitability Knowledge of ICD coding, anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology is essential Hands-on experience with EHR systems and medical administrative support is preferred Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required or highly recommended Previous roles involving intake assessments, vital signs collection, medication administration, or X-ray procedures are advantageous Experience working in inpatient settings or specialized units such as OR or PICU will be considered a strong asset This position offers the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to patient health outcomes across diverse clinical environments.
