Job Overview:
Florida Prostate Centers is seeking a dedicated and energetic Medical Assistant (MA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will assist in our Clinics & Outpatient surgery centers with room set up and turn over & serve as a supporter of patient care, ensuring smooth clinical operations across our multiple outpatient settings. Your expertise will help deliver exceptional patient experiences while supporting physicians and the healthcare team. Professionalism in a variety of clinical and administrative tasks. This position is Full-Time (FT) with the ability to commute (Pembroke Pines). Willing to travel (Pembroke Pines) Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates with precision. Manage medical supply inventory, restock exam rooms, unbox deliveries and ensure all equipment is clean and functioning properly. Provide exceptional patient service by answering questions, addressing concerns, and guiding patients through their care journey. Support administrative tasks such as maintaining accurate medical chart records and EMR competency. Open clinic for daily operation (e.g lights "ON", unlock all doors, power "ON" equipment & ensure necessary supplies are readily available) Assist with Clinic flow working collaboratively with physician, physician assistant and personnel. Managing, confirming, and rescheduling appointments, as well as handling high-volume phone lines. Assists patients in filling out insurance forms and other patient records. Checks in and checks out patients in a timely manner. Provides patient with medical release form in order to obtain records. Process print jobs, scanning, faxing, and copying documents on a daily basis. Upload any Diagnostic or Treatment Reports to EMR. Add new referring physician information including address, phone number and fax on a daily basis to referral list.Experience:
Candidates should possess prior experience working as a Medical Assistant in a healthcare environment such as an outpatient clinic or hospital. Experience with hospital medicine, urgent care settings, or medical-surgical floors is highly valued! Familiarity with EHR systems is essential for efficient documentation; knowledge of medical terminology enhances your ability to support clinical workflows effectively.
