Job Description

Emerald Coast Infectious Diseases / American Medical Group is looking to hire a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) for both administrative and clinical tasks in the practice.
Clinical Responsibilities:
Vital Signs:
Measuring and recording patients' vitals (temperature, pulse, blood pressure, respiration).
Patient History:
Taking and documenting patients' medical histories, including current medications and allergies. Assisting with
Procedures:
Helping physicians with various medical procedures, such as wound care, and injections.
Phlebotomy:
Drawing blood samples for laboratory testing.
Sterilization/Disinfection:
Properly cleaning and sterilizing medical instruments.
Administrative Responsibilities:
Scheduling:
Coordinating and scheduling patient appointments.
Record Keeping:
Maintaining and updating patient records, including electronic health records (EHRs).
Billing and Coding:
Assisting with billing and coding procedures.
Patient Flow:
Managing patient flow in the clinic.
Referrals:
Coordinating referrals to other healthcare professionals.
Communication:
Communicating with patients and other healthcare providers as needed.
Office Management:
Performing general office duties such as answering phones, greeting patients, and ordering supplies.
Additional Responsibilities:
Medication Administration:
Administering medications as directed by a physician.
Patient Education:
Providing basic patient education on their condition or treatment plan.
Patient Safety:
Ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for patients.
Qualifications:
