As a Clinical Medical Assistant, you will be an essential part of a dedicated healthcare team that emphasizes comprehensive primary care, health risk management, and patient engagement. Greet and actively engage with patients, ensuring a welcoming and caring environment. Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs, recording medical histories, and noting pertinent health information. Support clinical procedures such as drawing blood, venipuncture, administering vaccines, and dispensing medications or health education materials. Assist providers with clinical tasks and ensure all patient documentation is accurately recorded in Electronic Medical Records (EMR). Help maintain inventory of clinical supplies and ensure cleanliness and compliance with healthcare protocols. Schedule patient appointments, confirm follow-up visits, and support administrative duties including answering phones and handling basic patient inquiries. Foster positive relationships with the clinical team and contribute to a team-oriented, collaborative environment focused on high-quality patient care and health education. Collect fees and assist with billing as needed, in accordance with practice guidelines.Required Skills:
Minimum of 1 year of clinical Medical Assistant experience (externship included). Certification as a Medical Assistant strongly preferred. Proficiency in phlebotomy, venipuncture, and EMR systems. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong communication skills with the ability to convey information effectively to patients of all ages. Computer literacy and familiarity with electronic health records. Ability to work efficiently in a busy clinical environment while maintaining a compassionate and patient-focused approach. Willingness to contribute to health education and outreach initiatives. Nice toHave Skills:
Occupational health experience. Experience with fee collection and dispensing medication or supplies. Knowledge of managing clinical procedures for pediatric patients aged 6 and above.Preferred Education and Experience:
Certified Medical Assistant credential strongly preferred. Prior experience in an outpatient or primary care setting, particularly within occupational health or community health initiatives.Other Requirements:
Scheduled shifts may include coverage during weekdays and specific dates. Must adhere to all clinical protocols, maintain confidentiality, and comply with safety standards. Physical ability to stand for extended periods, assist patients, and perform clinical tasks. Certification in CPR or First Aid preferred but not mandatory.
