We are seeking dedicated Medical Assistants to provide exceptional clinical support and help deliver comprehensive primary care services that prioritize total population health management.
Responsibilities:
Greet and room patients efficiently, ensuring a positive patient experience. Assist with scheduling appointments and answer incoming phone calls. Take vital signs and accurately enter patient information into electronic medical records (EMR). Draw blood and perform phlebotomy/venipuncture procedures with precision. Administer vaccinations and other clinical duties as directed. Provide additional clinical support based on the needs of the healthcare team. Maintain a collaborative relationship with staff to support smooth clinic operations. Ensure cleanliness and organization of clinical areas, adhering to health and safety protocols. Support health education and outreach initiatives to promote patient wellness and engagement.
Required Skills:
Minimum of 1 year of medical assistant experience, including clinical externship. Certification as a Medical Assistant strongly preferred. Experience in occupational health environments highly desirable. Proficiency in phlebotomy/venipuncture and EMR systems. Strong attention to detail and exceptional communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Adept at managing multiple tasks efficiently under pressure. Competence with basic computer applications and electronic health records. Have Skills:
Prior experience in occupational health, corporate health settings, or primary care environments. Knowledge of health risk assessments and health promotion strategies. Bilingual abilities are an added advantage for serving diverse patient populations.
Preferred Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional health-related coursework or certifications welcomed. At least one year of hands-on medical assisting experience, preferably in a general or occupational health setting. Familiarity with medical office procedures and electronic medical record platforms.
Other Requirements:
Availability to work during scheduled shifts, which may include weekdays and weekends as needed. Certified or licensed Medical Assistant credentials preferred. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform clinical procedures safely. Strong interpersonal skills to connect effectively with patients and team members. Must adhere to confidentiality and patient privacy standards. Flexibility to adapt to changing healthcare needs and priorities.
