Job Description

We are actively seeking a dedicated, flexible, and experienced Medical Assistant (Float) to join our compassionate care team. This unique float role supports multiple clinic locations and is ideal for a skilled MA who thrives in a fast-paced, patient-first environment. As a Medical Assistant , you will be responsible for direct patient care and clinical support, working closely with providers and the nursing team to deliver high-quality, coordinated services that improve outcomes in our community.
What You'll Do:
Work directly with providers, managing same-day appointments and supporting clinical care Perform visit prep, patient assessments, and point-of-care testing (e.g., EKGs, Spirometry, Finger Sticks) Manage lab specimen collection and requisitions Assist with patient education, referrals, and discharge instructions Maintain and update EMR records, allergies, prescriptions, and screenings Collaborate across departments to deliver seamless, integrated care Travel to multiple clinic locations based on staffing needs Support weekend, evening, and urgent care shifts as assigned Participate in clinic training, CPR codes, and safety initiatives
Minimum Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program Current Florida Medical Assistant certification
Current BLS Certification Preferred Experience:
At least 1 year of prior MA experience Proven success in customer service or patient-facing roles Strong references from former/current supervisors Volunteer experience or additional healthcare certifications a plus
