Medical Assistant

Medical Assistant and Telephone operations for a very busy Family Practice office. Direct and indirect patient contact both in person and on the telephone. This position primary responsibility will be Medical Assistant Telephone Operator. Responsibility also includes but is not limited to check in patients and perform vital signs, administer injections, complete EKG's, Spirometry's and answer phones. Will be cross trained in every position for flexibility. Will provide results of tests reviewed by the provider, prepare, collect and process specimens for transport, perform in-house lab testing. Will process and triage patient messages, refill appropriately approved refill requests and prepare patient exam rooms. Conduct direct patient care such as flushing ears, immunizations, bandage changes and blood draws. Maintain and organize supplies needed in exam rooms. Provide prior authorization support for both medications and procedures/referrals. Will perform many other tasks, shared by your coworkers. We are searching for a self motivated Medical Assistant that is punctual and needs little supervision. Pay is based on experience. Referral/Authorization experience a plus.
