In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care and support for a busy Sports Medicine and Orthopedic practice. Your expertise will help ensure smooth patient intake, accurate documentation, and efficient clinical workflows. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering high-quality patient service while demonstrating strong knowledge of medical procedures, anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology. Responsibilities Perform patient intake procedures including collecting medical histories and vital signs with accuracy and compassion Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures, including medication administration and basic life support when necessary Prepare patients for diagnostic tests such as X-ray imaging or laboratory work, ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols are followed Document patient information thoroughly using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, including ICD coding for diagnoses Manage medical administrative support duties such as scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, obtaining authorizations for in office procedures, injections, and x-rays. Assist with in-room procedures in a clinical setting while adhering to safety standards and infection control protocols. Support the clinical team with basic physiology knowledge during patient assessments and treatment planning Experience Prior experience working in a medical office/clinic, hospital environments such as Level I or Level II trauma centers is highly desirable Hands-on clinic experience in outpatient or inpatient settings across specialties like orthopedic and spine care Knowledge of EHR systems for documentation and billing purposes is required Demonstrated ability to perform vital signs measurement, medication administration, and basic X-ray procedures required, (basic x-ray license required) Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD coding practices, and medication protocols is essential Join us to make a meaningful difference in patient lives by providing compassionate care with precision and professionalism.
