Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a professional, compassionate, and detail-oriented Medical Assistant/Receptionist with strong clinical and administrative experience to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients while also supporting clinical staff with patient care duties. This position requires excellent communication skills, multitasking abilities, and knowledge of medical office operations, electronic medical records, and patient care procedures. Experience with eClinicalWorks (eCW) is highly preferred. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and assist with check-in/check-out procedures Schedule and confirm patient appointments using EMR/EHR systems, preferably eClinicalWorks Verify insurance eligibility and obtain necessary authorizations Collect co-pays, process payments, and assist with medical billing procedures using CPT and ICD-10 coding standards Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all documentation is complete and HIPAA compliant Answer multi-line phone systems professionally and respond to patient inquiries in a courteous manner Assist providers with clinical duties including: Recording vital signs Preparing patients for examinations Updating medical histories and medication lists Assisting with procedures as needed Perform patient intake and document chief complaints and care plans accurately Administer injections, EKGs, phlebotomy, or other clinical procedures if certified and within scope of practice Manage front desk operations including appointment scheduling, referrals, filing, and office organization Maintain cleanliness and stocking of exam rooms and clinical supplies Support overall clinic workflow in a fast-paced healthcare environment Qualifications & Skills Previous experience as a Medical Assistant and/or Medical Receptionist required Clinical experience in a physician office, urgent care, specialty clinic, or healthcare setting preferred Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as eClinicalWorks, Epic, Athenahealth, Meditech , or similar platforms Strong understanding of medical terminology, HIPAA regulations, insurance verification, and medical billing procedures Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding preferred Excellent customer service and professional phone etiquette Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy medical office Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and general computer skills Bilingual candidates are highly encouraged to apply Why Join Our Team? Pay:
$17.00 - $18.00 per hour
