Medical Assistant Nuclear Department

We are seeking a dependable and compassionate Medical Assistant to support our Nuclear Medicine and PET imaging department. The Medical Assistant will assist physicians, technologists, and nursing staff with patient care, scheduling, preparation, and administrative duties to ensure efficient daily operations and excellent patient service.

Responsibilities:

Prepare patients for Nuclear Medicine and PET imaging procedures Obtain and document patient medical history, medications, allergies, and vital signs Assist with patient intake, scheduling, registration, and insurance verification Provide instructions to patients regarding exam preparation and follow-up care Maintain accurate medical records in the electronic health record (EHR) system Support physicians and technologists during patient visits and imaging procedures Ensure exam rooms and work areas are clean, stocked, and compliant with safety standards Follow radiation safety and infection control protocols Assist with coordination of referrals, authorizations, and patient communication Monitor patient comfort and report any concerns to clinical staff promptly
