Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant, where your enthusiasm and dedication will directly impact patient care and clinic operations. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive support to healthcare providers and patients within our primary care and wellness clinic. Your proactive approach will ensure smooth clinic flow, accurate documentation, phlebotomy and exceptional patient service. Duties Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, including gathering medical histories and documenting symptoms accurately. Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates to support clinical assessments. Prepare patients for examinations or procedures by explaining processes and ensuring comfort. Support clinical procedures by preparing supplies, EKG's, phlebotomy, medication administration, and basic life support when necessary. Manage electronic health record (EHR) systems efficiently by entering patient data, updating records, and coding diagnoses using ICD (International Classification of Diseases) codes. Conduct basic physiology and anatomy assessments to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning. Provide exceptional patient service by addressing questions, coordinating appointments, and ensuring a welcoming environment within the clinic. Requirements Prior experience in primary care or outpatient clinics is highly preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and ICD coding is essential for accurate documentation and communication. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required; additional certifications such phlebotomy OR experience are a plus. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in fast-paced settings like physicians office or medical clinic. Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to diverse populations including geriatrics and internal medicine patients.
