Certified Medical Assistant

Certified Medical Assistant needed for a Primary/Urgent Care with excellent verbal communication skills, computer skills, a positive attitude, reliable, self-motivated individual with reliable transportation to join our team! •Pay is based upon experience •Job Descriptions include: Taking vital signs, and explaining the process to the patients Taking medical history for the charting, Assist provider in all special procedures, as required Keeps medical records in accordance to procedures and forms Follow HIPAA guidelines for patient confidentiality Keeps rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies, washes and dries instruments used, and prepares sterilization as required Clean wounds, draws labs, electrocardiograms and applies dressings and splints as directed by provider Assists in lab procedures under the supervision of provider. Other duties may consist of notifying patients of lab results, giving vaccines/injections, immunizations and medications prescribed by the doctor; lab work consisting of throat cultures, hematocrits, and urinalysis. Receives and handles phone calls Responsible for proper handling and storage of all medications stored in the office' '
