Compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, and qualifications. Job Summary We're on the lookout for a compassionate, calm, and efficient Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. This position requires the ability to learn quickly, stay organized, trouble shoot and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities
  • Responsible for patient intake, including screening, and gathering medical histories.
  • Prepare patients for examinations and procedures including diabetic foot and nail care.
  • Assist with wound care and dressing changes as needed.
  • Scan patients' feet for custom orthotics and assist in orthotic fitting as needed.
  • Perform other clinical tasks and procedures as directed by the supervisor and/or provider.
  • Accurately document and manage patient notes within the electronic health record system.
  • Schedule follow-up visits and help coordinate patient care.
  • Scan documents as needed.
  • Clean and restock exam rooms after each visit and ensure readiness for the following day.
  • Unpack and organize Medical Supply Storage room including breaking down boxes and discarding the boxes at the end of each day.
  • Demonstrate flexibility by assisting across multiple departments as needed.
  • Support the Back Office Supervisor and clinical team as needed.
  • Maintain strict HIPAA compliance and uphold all health, safety, and clinical standards of care. Qualifications Required
  • Must be able to type at least 50+ words per minute.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team-oriented environment.
  • Is empathetic, friendly and positive so patients feel welcomed and comfortable during their visits.
  • Exceptional time management skills — able to stay on schedule by managing conversations efficiently, maintaining focus, and avoiding distractions.
  • Dependable, punctual, and known for having a stellar attendance record. Preferred
  • Previous experience as a Medical Assistant is preferred.
  • Experience with eClinicalWorks is preferred.
  • Experience working with geriatric patients is a plus.
  • Flexible and willing to assist wherever needed to support the team and ensure smooth patient flow.
