This position is scheduled to work Sunday through Thursday, and candidates must be available to consistently work this schedule based on health center operational needs.Important:

Conduct patient intake, including medical and social histories, and perform STI screenings and point-of-care testing. Educate patients in a non-directive manner on birth control options and pregnancy-related services, supporting informed decision-making. Ensure exam rooms are properly prepped and sanitized between patients, and assist with basic clinical tasks and lab work in accordance with medical standards. Provide excellent patient service aligned with Planned Parenthood's values of respect, equity, and inclusion. Accurately maintain patient records and documentation while upholding confidentiality and compliance standards. Support the daily operations of the health center through cross-functional collaboration, flexibility, and accountability. Experience/Education of theMedical Assistant:
High School graduate or equivalent. A minimum of one (1) year of experience or equivalent. Medical care and reproductive rights experience helpful. Experience in dealing with the public. The ability to learn ultrasound, procedural assistance and AB lab as well as other skill enhancements at the discretion of the affiliate. Must have a strong understanding of and personal commitment to reproductive rights and the goals and responsibilities of Planned Parenthood. Excellent organizational, communication and sound decision-making skills. Must have a commitment to efficiency and quality. Must be comfortable when discussing sexuality, contraception, sexually transmitted diseases and pregnancy options. Ability to recognize and function appropriately in sensitive situations. Starting at $18.00/ hour, commensurate with experience and local market conditions. Eligible for all applicable benefits effective the first of the month following 30 days from your hire date.
