The Health & Wellness Clinic is a community-based clinic and federally qualified health center, we focus on whole-person wellness: mind, body, and identity offering HIV testing and prevention. The primary duties of this position include responsibilities for rooming patients, recording vital signs, Phlebotomy including HIV testing, Medication Reconciliation and a variety of back office and front office tasks. This position is an excellent opportunity to enhance skills with advancement opportunities. The ideal candidate has strong patient experience skills and a willingness to perform tasks to support the patient and clinic. Qualifications and Skills 2 years experience working in a related medical assistant position is required, prefer HIV testing/certification. Prefer experience with LGBTQ+ patients. Medical Assistant Certification is a plus. CPR card is required. EMR experience is required, prefer experience using eClinicalWorks. Must have a basic knowledge of Medical Terminology and healthcare regulations/HIPAA Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures of a medical clinic Proficient use of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel and Word) Well organized and detail oriented Excellent Patient Experience skills, Interpersonal skills and excellent Communication skills (oral and written) Self motivated team player with analytical, technical and problem solving skills Possess high professional demeanor and take pride in providing quality service Maintain 100% confidentiality relating to all patients, corporate, financial and proprietary information Ability to collaborate with others Ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment Bilingual preferred.
