Job Description

Nextaff has an immediate need for an experienced Medical Assistant to join our client's team in St Petersburg, FL. As a Medical Assistant you will be responsible for a variety of care and administrative tasks including assisting in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician. Duties include rooming patients, documenting medical histories, measuring vital signs, administering injections, preparing & maintaining treatment rooms, entering patient data into the EMR system and assisting in front desk coverage...in other words, you will be a critical touchpoint for patients! This is a full-time contract-to-hire position with a Monday-Friday 8 AM-5 PM schedule, which allows you the opportunity to earn a permanent position with our client. What's In It For You... Opportunity to earn permanent position with our client What We Need From You... You have at least 1 year of current experience as a Medical Assistant in a primary care setting (certification preferred) You've roomed patients, taken vital signs, assisted providers with procedures and have a strong understanding of medical office procedures and terminology You have a current CPR certification from the American Heart Association (or AHA-accredited course) You have experience documenting an EHR systems (eClinicalWorks preferred) High School diploma or equivalent and background check/drug screening required Nextaff of Sarasota is a talent recruitment and staffing firm that partners with healthcare providers throughout southwest Florida.
