We are currently seeking a friendly, energetic, reliable, hard-working, organized and compassionate medical assistant who can put our patients and their care first. This position requires the performance of routine administrative and clerical duties that ensure our medical office runs efficiently and smoothly. Administrative duties include greeting patients, answering phones, setting appointments and confirming appointments, checking patients in and out of the office, insurance verification, inputting patient data, medical record retrievals, collecting copays, balances and deductibles and light cleaning. Clinical duties include rooming patients, inputting medical histories, obtaining vitals, assisting the doctor with procedures, taking x-rays, wound care and post-op care (changing dressings and removing sutures or staples), diabetic and non diabetic foot care, sterilizing instruments and restocking exam rooms, assisting patients with socks and shoes, sweeping of floors and light cleaning when needed. The candidate for this job will preferably have experience in podiatry but must be able to learn and adapt to new information. We are seeking a proactive individual who is able to multitask and assist other team members when needed. Basic computer skills are required for this job and experience operating an EMR is preferred.

Pay:

$15.00 - $17.75 per hour
