Position Overview Sunshine Spine and Pain is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our growing team. This full-time position offers an excellent opportunity to work alongside exceptional providers and colleagues while making a meaningful impact in patients' lives. The ideal candidate will possess both strong clinical skills and excellent customer service abilities, with a commitment to delivering a concierge-level patient experience. ResponsibilitiesClinical Duties Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures Accurately obtain and document patient histories, medications, and vital signs Perform manual blood pressure measurements Prepare examination and procedure rooms Prepare patient charts and records for upcoming appointments Explain procedures to patients and ensure their comfort throughout visits Educate patients regarding treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care Maintain compliance with clinic protocols and safety standards Administrative Duties Schedule appointments and coordinate patient care Triage clinical phone calls and patient concerns appropriately Assist with medication prior authorizations and insurance-related tasks Maintain accurate patient records within the electronic health record system Ensure timely and accurate documentation of patient interactions Support office workflow and daily clinic operations Team Collaboration Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, physical therapists, and administrative staff Contribute to a positive, professional, and team-oriented workplace culture Assist in maintaining efficient clinic operations and exceptional patient satisfaction QualificationsRequired Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or in a relevant healthcare setting Current BLS/CPR Certification Strong knowledge of medical terminology Ability to accurately perform vital sign assessments MUST be able to perform manual blood pressure measurements Excellent patient service and communication skills Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Proficiency with computers and typing Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team Preferred EClinicalWorks (eCW) experience 3-5 years of experience in a medical office setting Experience in pain management, orthopedics, spine care, neurosurgery, physical medicine and rehabilitation, or urgent care Knowledge of insurance authorizations and medication prior authorizations Benefits 401(k) Retirement Plan Healthcare Benefits 80 Hours of Paid Time Off (PTO) Professional Growth Opportunities Supportive, Family-Oriented Work Environment Additional Requirements Candidates must: Successfully pass a criminal background check Successfully pass a drug screening Have reliable transportation Demonstrate a commitment to professionalism, punctuality, and exceptional patient care Please submit: Resume Salary Requirements Professional References Join Sunshine Spine and Pain and become part of a team dedicated to improving lives through exceptional patient care, innovation, and compassion.
