This vital role combines patient-centered clinical support with administrative excellence, ensuring seamless patient experiences and smooth clinic operations. You'll have the opportunity to work across diverse medical settings, including outpatient clinics, hospital environments, and specialized units such as dermatology, emergency medicine, or geriatrics. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will contribute significantly to delivering high-quality patient care while supporting healthcare providers with essential clinical tasks. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and assist with check-in and check-out procedures using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. Collect and document vital signs, patient histories, and reason for visit accurately to support clinical assessments. Prepare patients for examinations by taking medical histories, explaining procedures, and ensuring comfort during intake. Assist healthcare providers with clinical duties such as medication administration, specimen collection, X-ray procedures, and basic life support when necessary. Manage appointment scheduling, coordinate referrals, and handle patient inquiries efficiently to optimize clinic flow. Maintain detailed documentation of patient interactions, ICD coding for diagnoses, and ensure compliance with privacy regulations. Support inpatient and outpatient care activities across various specialties including internal medicine, hospital medicine, ICU (PICU), or trauma centers as needed. Skills Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic medical procedures relevant to outpatient and inpatient settings. Experience working in dermatology, emergency medicine, hospital environments (Level I & II trauma centers), or surgical units such as ORs. Proficiency with EHR systems for documentation of patient data and clinical notes. Ability to perform vital signs measurement accurately and assist with intake processes in fast-paced environments. Familiarity with ICD coding practices and medication administration protocols. Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to diverse populations including geriatrics and pediatric intensive care units (PICU). Knowledge of hospital protocols related to urgent care scenarios, trauma response procedures, and medical-surgical workflows.
