Job Description

Position Summary The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) will provide clinical and administrative support to Nurse Practitioner (NP) teams within an assigned region. This role is primarily based in an on-site office but includes rounding in facilities and traveling to nearby buildings as needed. The CMA will play an active role in patient identification, care coordination, and relationship-building with facility personnel to support patient engagement and service growth. This position is in Palm Beach County Key Responsibilities Clinical Support Assist Nurse Practitioners (NPs) with patient care during on-site visits and facility rounds Prepare patients for examinations, including obtaining vital signs, medical histories, and documentation as needed Perform routine clinical tasks within scope of CMA certification Ensure accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical records (EMR) Rounding & Travel Conduct rounds in assigned facilities as directed by NP team Travel to nearby buildings with NPs to provide clinical support as needed Maintain flexibility in schedule to accommodate rounding and patient needs Care Coordination & Patient Identification Collaborate with building management and staff to identify patients who may benefit from services Communicate effectively with facility personnel to facilitate patient referrals and care coordination Support outreach initiatives to increase awareness of services Administrative Duties Maintain organized and accurate patient records Assist with coordination of patient care services Ensure compliance with HIPAA and all applicable regulations Qualifications Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential required High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred Minimum of [1-2] years of clinical experience preferred, ideally in outpatient, primary care, or geriatric settings Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required for local travel Skills & Competencies Outgoing, personable, and professional demeanor Strong communication and relationship-building skills, particularly with facility staff and management Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team Excellent organizational and time management skills Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic healthcare environment Work Environment Primarily based in an on-site office setting Regular travel to nearby facilities/buildings required Combination of clinical (patient-facing) and administrative responsibilities Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, and move between facilities for extended periods Ability to lift and assist patients as needed within scope of practice
