Must have clinical /medical experience. Assists with procedures directly supervised by the physician. Obtains and accurately documents patient vital signs, takes brief history, past medical, family and social history, current medications, allergies and other pertinent medical information. Ensures that equipment is in proper working order and reports any malfunctions to the supervisor. Maintains examination rooms with supplies. Adheres to infection control/safety guidelines and patient confidentiality policies. Injections, medical procedures and laboratory procedures appropriate for level of training under the direction of a physician.
Duties to include:
Assisting physician in providing quality care to patients Maintain patients' medical records Review medical history Obtain appropriate consents Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements include:
At least one year of Medical Assisting experience preferred. MA Certification or Registration Working knowledge of sterile technique Must have knowledge of medical terminology and be computer literate Must be a team player and dedicated to quality patient care
