Interview patients and document basic medical history Draw blood for patients Organize and schedule appointments Update and file medical records and insurance reports Check in with patients and type up patients charts Assist during medical examinations Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes, and forms Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments What will you need as a Medical Assistant? 2-3 years of Medical Assistant experience Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program Phlebotomy skills required (venipuncture competency must be demonstrated) CMA or RMA certification preferred (or ability to obtain within a designated timeframe) Strong phone etiquette, organizational, and multitasking skills Comfortable working both front-office and back-office responsibilities EMR experience required Must have a high school diploma Must have warm and inviting personality Must be patient-service oriented Must be able to pass a background and drug screen #IND3
