About the Role North Florida Pain Specialists is expanding and has multiple openings for a Medical Assistant Float — a dynamic, cross-functional position that rotates through three core areas of our practice: procedure room assistance, clinical medical assisting, and front desk operations (phone triage, check-in/checkout, and prior authorizations). We are hiring a combination of full-time and part-time staff to build a flexible, high-performing team. This is a great opportunity for a medical assistant who wants broad clinical exposure, real variety in their day, and a chance to grow within a thriving interventional pain management practice built from the ground up in Tallahassee. What You'll Do Depending on your rotation, responsibilities will include: Procedure Room Assist the physician with interventional pain procedures including nerve blocks, joint injections, epidural steroid injections, and radiofrequency ablations Prepare and break down procedure rooms; ensure sterile supplies, equipment, and trays are ready Maintain procedural documentation and uphold patient safety protocols Clinical / Back Office Room patients, obtain and document vital signs, and perform medication reconciliation Assist with obtaining labs Assist with brace fittings, patient education on pre- and post-procedure care Support prior authorization workflows for procedures and medications Front Desk / Reception Manage inbound phone calls with professionalism and clinical awareness Handle patient check-in and checkout efficiently Process referrals, verify insurance, and coordinate authorizations What We're Looking For Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) — preferred but not required for strong candidates Experience in pain management, orthopedics, or any procedural or surgical setting is a significant plus Comfortable moving between clinical and administrative tasks — this role rewards adaptability Strong multitasker with excellent communication skills and a patient-first mindset Dependable, organized, and eager to be part of a close-knit team

Commute/Relocation:
Must be able to work in person at Tallahassee, FL 32308. Relocation required prior to start date.
Pay:
From $17.00 per hour
