Medical Administrative Assistant (Full-Time)

Full-Time Monday - Friday| No Benefits Overview Elite Dialysis is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Administrative Assistant to support daily clinic operations and enhance the patient experience. This role is essential in managing patient information, coordinating appointments, and ensuring smooth front-office workflows in a fast-paced dialysis clinic. The ideal candidate is professional, compassionate, and experienced in medical administration and electronic health records. Key Responsibilities Manage patient scheduling, appointment confirmations, and follow-ups using EMR/EHR systems. Help with transportation process, and phone calls Verify insurance coverage and assist with insurance authorization and verification processes. Vascular access appt, and coordination. Maintain, review, and update medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Support billing-related tasks, including medical collections and documentation follow-up. Audit chart monthly basis Serve as the front desk point of contact, including multi-line phone coverage, patient check-in/out, and maintaining a professional clinic environment. Assist with documentation review, care plan preparation, and accurate recording of patient interactions. Support administrative functions related to Medicare and other insurance programs. Perform clerical duties such as filing, scanning, data entry, and office supply management. Maintain strict confidentiality of all patient information. Qualifications & Skills High school diploma or GED required. Minimum of 1 year of experience in a medical office or clinic setting preferred. Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems; dialysis or specialty clinic experience preferred. Strong knowledge of medical terminology and medical records management. Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel. Exceptional customer service skills with professional phone etiquette. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to perform insurance verification accurately and efficiently. Bilingual (English/Spanish or Creole) preferred but not required. Working knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards.
