  • Full-time Florida Craniofacial Institute is looking for a Dental/Oral Surgery Assistant for a growing Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery practice.
Seeking a positive, self-starter, motivated individual with the desire to grow to join our team as an Dental/ Oral Surgery Assistant. Candidate should be focused on providing quality care to patients with an emphasis on developing lasting, trusted relationships between patients and staff. As an Oral Surgery Assistant, you will assist with pre-surgical care and education, vital tasks during surgeries, and post-surgical care. During surgeries, you may provide chairside assistance to the surgeon, and sterilize and store instruments after use. You may also perform other clerical tasks as required.
Duties may include:
Greet patients with a positive, caring tone prior to performing pre-surgical preparations Assist the oral surgeon during surgical cases in office Provide pre and post-operative instruction to patients regarding healing and care Disinfect, sterilize, and store equipment after use Sterilize the room once patient leaves and setup for next patient/procedure Other clerical duties as needed
Qualifications:
Prior dental assisting experience in an oral surgery environment preferred (at least one year) All relevant state licensure. DAANCE Certification a PLUS CPR and X-ray certification preferred but not required. Strong communications skills and a calm demeanor in stressful situations Ability to follow direction, focus and stay on task Attention to detail Benefits (after 90days): 401(k) matching Health insurance Paid time off

Monday-Thursday 7:30am-5:00pm Friday 7:30am-2:30pm
