In this vital role, you will support the Doctor in managing patients with complex orofacial pain conditions, ensuring seamless clinical operations and exceptional patient care. Your expertise will contribute to advancing our practice's mission to provide comprehensive, compassionate, and effective treatment for patients suffering from orofacial pain syndromes. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment focused on cutting-edge pain management and dental health. Duties Assist clinician during patient examinations and procedures related to orofacial pain, including chairside assisting and medical documentation. Prepare treatment rooms with appropriate instruments, supplies, and sterilization techniques following infection control protocols. Collect and record vital signs, medical history, and pertinent patient information using electronic medical record (EMR) system. Take CBCT and/or Panormaic X-rays as needed Take 3D scans of the patient's bite to send out to the lab that fabricates the custom device needed for treatment. Follow-up with patients regarding treatment scheduling and questions. Help educate patients about their conditions, treatment options, and coordinated care. Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control standards. Requirements Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with familiarity in general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, or orofacial preferred. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques. Proficiency with EMR systems managing medical documentation and records. Ability to operate dental equipment including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and other medical imaging tools accurately. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team. Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of medical records and compliance with privacy standards. Certification in chairside assisting along with knowledge of vital signs monitoring is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and compassion in a fast-paced environment.
