Medical Assistant Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Assistant to join our team at a busy clinic. The ideal candidate will provide essential support in managing patient care, ensuring smooth operations, and enhancing the patient experience. Responsibilities Conduct patient follow-ups and update patient records through data entry. Answer and manage inbound phone calls efficiently. Order labs and relay lab results to the appropriate personnel or patients. Schedule follow-up appointments and ensure timely communication with patients. Provide clinical support and assist with triage as needed. Essential Skills High School Diploma. 1+ year of experience in Medical Assisting. Proficiency in using Electronic Medical Records (EMR), specifically Athena. Strong medical terminology knowledge. Experience in ordering labs and managing prior authorizations. Excellent customer service skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications Medical Assisting diploma or certification. Experience as a Medical Assistant or Pharmacy Technician. Pharmacy Technician Certification or license. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Experience in a call center or front desk setting. Work Environment The position is based onsite at a clinic with working hours from Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Titusville, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
