Your expertise in medical procedures, administrative support, and patient communication will ensure a smooth and efficient experience for everyone who walks through our doors. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your skills across diverse medical settings, including outpatient clinics, hospital medicine, urgent care, dermatology, and more. Duties Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and assist with check-in and appointment scheduling using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. Obtain and record vital signs, medical histories, and current medications to support accurate patient assessments. Assist healthcare providers with clinical tasks such as taking X-rays, administering medications, performing basic life support (BLS), and collecting specimens for laboratory testing. Support patient intake by reviewing symptoms, updating medical records, and explaining procedures clearly to ensure patient understanding. Manage administrative responsibilities including answering phones, managing appointment calendars, processing insurance documentation with ICD coding accuracy, and maintaining organized patient files. Prepare examination rooms by sterilizing equipment and ensuring all necessary supplies are available for procedures across various specialties like internal medicine or geriatrics. Hands-on experience with EHR systems and medical-surgical procedures; familiarity with X-ray or OR (Operating Room) environments is a plus. Background working in specialized areas such as dermatology, emergency medicine, PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), or Geriatrics enhances your ability to adapt across diverse clinical scenarios. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required; additional certifications related to hospital medicine or urgent care are advantageous. Experience supporting medication administration or assisting with invasive procedures in outpatient or inpatient settings will set you apart. Join us to be part of a vibrant healthcare environment where your proactive attitude and dedication to patient service drive excellence every day!
