In this role, you will be a key team member helping shape clinical workflows, deliver high-quality patient care, and contribute to building an exceptional patient experience from the ground up. As part of a startup environment, you will work closely with providers and leadership to support both clinical and operational functions. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving setting and wants to make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes and practice growth. Responsibilities Assist providers with patient intake, including collecting medical histories and vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, respiration). Prepare exam rooms, ensure cleanliness, and maintain adequate inventory of clinical supplies. Perform basic clinical procedures such as administering medications, drawing blood, point-of-care testing, and assisting with minor procedures. Document patient information accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR), including updating medical histories and supporting coding and compliance efforts. Support efficient patient flow by scheduling appointments, confirming insurance, and coordinating follow-up care. Deliver a high-touch, patient-centered experience by answering questions, explaining care plans, and ensuring patient comfort. Collaborate with team members to improve workflows, implement new processes, and support practice growth initiatives. Assist with both front-office and back-office duties as needed in a startup environment (cross-functional support is essential). Skills & Qualifications Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) required; Bilingual (Spanish/English) strongly preferred. Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and basic clinical procedures; BLS certification preferred. Experience in primary care, family medicine, or outpatient settings highly desirable. Proficiency in EHR systems with strong attention to detail in documentation. Ability to multitask and adapt quickly in a fast-changing, startup environment. Excellent interpersonal skills and a compassionate, patient-first approach. Strong organizational skills with the ability to take initiative and work independently. Comfortable contributing ideas and participating in building new workflows and processes.
