Job Description

Job description: Busy Medical practice seeking a front desk receptionist and medical assistant to join our growing team. Front Desk $22/hr:
Work Hours:
8:00am-5:00pm Duties include but are not limited to: check in, check out, collecting co-payments, appointment scheduling, insurance eligibility & verification, obtaining referrals, scanning/faxing, updating medical data, and triaging calls. Must display a caring and professional demeanor and be able to multi-task and handle interruptions with good judgment and attention to details. Ability to handle high volume workload independently with minimal amount of supervision. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills. Ability to be flexible and work closely with patients, staff, and physicians. Knowledge of insurance plans, billing concepts, and guidelines. Medical Assistant $24-$26/hr:
Work Hours:
7:30am-4:30pm Responsibilities Interview patients and document basic medical history Update and file medical records Arrange laboratory services Check with patients and type up patients' charts Assist during medical examinations Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments Skills Proven working experience as a medical assistant Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work Social perceptiveness and service oriented Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and planning skills Minimum 1 year of experience in a medical office setting required.
