Job Summary Join our dynamic Pediatric Clinic as a Certified Medical Assistant, where your expertise will directly impact the health and well-being of our young patients. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care, support clinical operations, and ensure smooth daily workflows. Responsibilities Assist with patient intake by collecting medical histories, updating records, and verifying insurance information using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates accurately for pediatric patients of all ages. Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and ensuring their comfort throughout visits. Support clinical procedures including medication administration, basic X-ray imaging, and sample collection for laboratory testing. Document patient encounters thoroughly, including ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases) to ensure accurate billing and recordkeeping. Manage medical supplies inventory, sterilize equipment, and maintain a clean clinical environment in compliance with safety standards. Collaborate with physicians and specialists in various fields such as dermatology, emergency medicine, internal medicine, geriatrics, and hospital medicine to deliver comprehensive care. Requirements Certified Medical Assistant credential from an accredited program is required. Prior experience working in outpatient pediatric clinics or hospital settings such as Level I or Level II trauma centers is highly preferred. Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to pediatric care is essential. Proficiency in EHR systems and familiarity with ICD coding for accurate documentation. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is mandatory to respond effectively in emergency situations. Experience with inpatient care environments like PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), Geriatrics units, or Medical-Surgical wards is advantageous. Strong patient service skills with the ability to handle urgent care scenarios confidently while maintaining a positive attitude. Join us in making a difference!
