Job Description

About Us HeartWell Medical Group is a cardiology practice in Winter Park, FL led by Dr. Raghav Sharma. We provide comprehensive cardiology care — preventive heart health, advanced cardiovascular diagnostics, vascular and structural cardiology — with a focus on a personal, high-touch patient experience. The Role You are the clinical right hand of Dr. Sharma. You room patients, take vitals, prep them for their visit, assist with in-office diagnostics (EKGs, ultrasounds, InBody scans), and keep the clinical day flowing smoothly. You are not the front desk and you are not back office billing — your job is the patient care experience from the moment they're called back through the moment they're handed off at check-out. This is a small, high-volume cardiology practice. You will be busy. You will see a lot of patients. You will become very good at the rhythms of cardiology workflow. What You'll Do Clinical (Primary): Patient rooming: greet, escort to exam room, take vitals (BP, HR, weight, height, O2 sat), confirm reason for visit, document in the EMR Pre-visit prep: pull up prior records, imaging, lab results, and prior visit notes so Dr. Sharma can review before walking in
EKGs:
perform 12-lead EKGs accurately; transmit to chart Patient education support: reinforce discharge instructions; confirm understanding; coordinate follow-up InBody / body composition scans: perform scans and document results Procedure assistance: set up rooms for vascular ultrasounds, echocardiograms, and other in-office diagnostics; assist providers as needed Medication reconciliation: review current meds with patient at each visit; flag discrepancies
Clinical Operations:
Room turnover: clean and prep rooms between patients; restock supplies Sterilization & inventory: maintain clinical supply inventory; flag low stock; ensure equipment is sanitized per protocol Patient flow: coordinate with front desk and providers to keep the schedule moving; flag delays early
Documentation:
EMR documentation: accurate, complete, and timely
HIPAA:
strict adherence to patient privacy at all times
What We're Looking For Must Have:
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) — current certification 1+ years of clinical MA experience in a physician practice EKG proficiency EMR fluency (eClinicalWorks, Athena, Epic, or similar) Reliability and steady energy — you show up, on time, every day Composure under pressure HIPAA training current
Strongly Preferred:
Cardiology experience Bilingual English/Spanish Phlebotomy certification Vascular ultrasound or echocardiography exposure

Schedule & Logistics Hours:
Monday-Friday, 8:
A0 AM - 5
00 PM (one-hour lunch). No weekends. In-office — full patient-facing role; not remote.
