Job Description

Position Summary Caduceus is seeking a dependable and organized Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support onsite summer bus driver physical examination programs conducted at two separate client locations. The CMA will assist healthcare providers with occupational medicine examinations, intake procedures, vital signs, documentation, drug screening, and workflow coordination while ensuring efficient patient throughput and professional client service. This role requires travel between multiple assigned onsite locations and the ability to work well in fast-paced, high-volume occupational health environments during seasonal bus driver certification periods. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Prepare and organize onsite examination areas prior to clinic start times Perform patient intake procedures including: Medical history collection Vital signs Height, weight, and vision screening Urinalysis collection Assist providers with occupational and bus driver physical examinations Ensure all required forms and documentation are completed accurately Maintain patient flow to support efficient examination throughput Assist with specimen collection procedures in accordance with regulations Prepare and sanitize examination equipment and workstations Monitor inventory and notify leadership of supply shortages Maintain confidentiality of patient and client information in accordance with HIPAA requirements Provide professional customer service to client representatives and examinees Support setup, breakdown, and transport of onsite medical equipment and supplies Communicate operational or workflow concerns to leadership promptly Perform additional clinical or administrative duties as assigned Work Locations This position will rotate between two designated onsite client locations during the summer examination program. Travel between locations may be required based on operational needs. Schedule Seasonal / Temporary Summer Assignment Hours may vary based on client scheduling and operational demands Early morning start times may be required Overtime must be approved in advance Minimum Qualifications Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required High school diploma or equivalent required Minimum one (1) year of clinical experience preferred Occupational medicine experience preferred Drug screening and/or DOT experience preferred Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Ability to work independently in mobile or onsite environments Reliable transportation required Basic computer and EMR proficiency required Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods Ability to lift and transport medical supplies and equipment up to 30 pounds Ability to travel between onsite client locations Ability to work in active clinical environments with frequent patient interaction Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of basic clinical procedures and infection control practices Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy Professional communication and interpersonal skills Ability to maintain efficiency in high-volume environments Ability to adapt to changing operational demands and schedules Compliance Statement Employees are expected to comply with all company policies, attendance standards, HIPAA regulations, client requirements, and occupational health procedures.
