Job Description
Come work with us and love your job! Medical office assistant in an outpatient setting. Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm. Depending on the day, you might check in or out patients, answer the phones, or help with triage. Behavioral health experience a plus but not necessary. Potential to full-time with benefits if interested in the future or you can stay as PRN if you wish. Scrubs provided. Salary depends on experience.
Requirements:
Must have exceptional Customer Service Skills. Experience with using online service provider service portals and be efficient with computer-based skills. Experience with eClinicalWorks EHR is a plus. 1 year Medical Receptionist Experience Required. 1 year Medical Assistant Experience Required. Duties and Responsibility Welcomes patients by greeting them, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries. Schedules all new patient appointments and any needed follow-up or urgent appointments. Update and change demographic and insurance information while confirming appointments and checking in and checking out patients. Also, obtains all needed forms/documents along with new insurance cards and drivers license. Assist with Kiosk questions while checking in. Collect balances and co-pays at the time of service and alerts billing of any needs. Assist in patient's needs with voicemails, refills, and communications between the patient and providers. Scans paperwork into the system to upload into the patient's chart. Assist in processing and sending medical records via fax or EMR. Assist providers in filling out and documenting patient letters and forms. Completes insurance verification of benefits for potential patients. Document outcome of all outbound and inbound calls from Insurance carriers/patients. Ask Screening questions to ensure patient appropriate for the practice Verifies patient information by interviewing patient, reviewing and/or recording medical history, taking vital signs, reviews systems, and confirms purpose of visit or treatment.Preforms duties such as:
