Job Summary Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Podiatry Office Assistant, where your enthusiasm and organizational skills will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care. In this energetic role, you will support the daily operations, ensuring smooth patient flow, accurate documentation, and efficient administrative processes. Your proactive approach will help create a welcoming environment for patients seeking foot and ankle care, while also assisting with clinical tasks to support our healthcare providers. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in medical support within a fast-paced outpatient setting. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and assist with check-in procedures, including collecting patient information and verifying insurance details Manage appointment scheduling and coordinate patient flow to minimize wait times Prepare examination rooms by sterilizing equipment and ensuring supplies are stocked and ready for clinical procedures Assist with clinical tasks such as recording patient histories, and preparing patients for examinations Support medical staff with documentation in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, and updating patient records accurately Handle administrative duties like answering phones, and managing correspondence Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic environment to ensure compliance with health and safety standards Requirements Prior experience in a medical office or clinic setting, preferably within a medical office Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance deductible and handing office admistrative work is preferred Familiarity with EHR systems and ICD coding processes for accurate documentation Strong patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically Ability to multitask Demonstrated organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple tasks efficiently This role is ideal for motivated individuals eager to grow their career in healthcare support.
