Busy Dermatology Practice in need of a Part-time Medical Assistant. We are looking for someone friendly, professional, hard-working, compassionate, self-motivated, flexible, and a team player.

Medical Assistant Certification Preferred experience: Experience with EMA (EMR)

Medical Assistant Responsibilities:

Interview patients to obtain a detailed history and list of medications Assist in the examination and treatment of patients Record details of office visits into patients' electronic medical record Provide patient education resources Draw and collect blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for lab Prepare exam rooms for patients Assist with biopsies, surgeries, and cosmetic procedures including set-up, clean-up, patient prep, and documentation in electronic medical record Call patients with lab/path results Phone in or E-prescribe prescriptions and refills Handle prior authorizations in a timely and efficient manner Keep exam rooms stocked with needed supplies; order supplies as needed Perform general housekeeping duties Skills and Qualifications High School Diploma Required; Associate Degree preferred Medical Assistant Certification (CMA/RMA) 1+ years experience as Medical Assistant preferred 1+ years experience in Dermatology as Medical Assistant preferred Excellent communication skills,
