Certified Medical Assistant

Certified Medical Assistant McIntosh Trail Family Practice and Urgent Care Center is looking for a Certified Medical Assistant or LPN to join our team. Will consider other qualified candidates based upon training and experience working in a physician's office. This person will work closely with the Provider to determine the needs of the patient and assist in providing quality medical care to the patients. Must represent the organization in a positive & professional manner. Be able to work in a changing environment and handle difficult situations involving patients, physicians, or others in a professional manner. Must demonstrate an ability to work independently, be attentive to detail, and maintain a positive attitude.

Responsibilities will include:

Obtain patient history, assess/triage patient, obtain vital signs and ensure that all information is entered into the patient's electronic health record (EHR). Process Provider orders, RX, and referrals, review lab and test results, give injections, assist Provider with procedures, provide follow up information to the patient per Provider's instructions. Attend regular staff meetings and in-services. Other duties may be assigned by Manager or Supervisor.

Qualifications:

Certified Medical Assistant from an accredited institution Licensed Practical Nurse from an accredited institution Previous Physician Office experience required Experience in radiology/imaging a plus Computer literate, experience with EHR systems
